We are currently waiting to hear whether our application to establish Kingston CofE Secondary School will be taken to interview stage. The DfE hope to provide feedback during the Summer term. We would like to thank you all for your ongoing support throughout the process and will be in contact should we hear any news or updates. Thank you for your patience.
The Southwark Diocesan Board of Education is now waiting to hear the outcome of its application to establish Kingston Church of England Secondary School, which was submitted to DfE in early February. As soon as we have any news on that outcome, we will be in touch with our supporters and we will post an update on our website and Facebook page. A big thank you to all of those who continue to show your support and interest in our application.
If approved, Kingston Church of England Secondary School plans to open with six Year 7 classes (180 places) and admit the same number of Year 7 pupils each year thereafter. The school will operate an admissions policy in accordance with the School Admissions Code and will welcome all children of all faiths and none.
Co-educational, non-selective and free to attend, Kingston Church of England Secondary School is being proposed by the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education (SDBE) multi-academy trust and will offer a broad and balanced curriculum taught by qualified teachers. The specialisms in Science and Sport will be delivered in a school with high expectations for learning within a caring and inclusive Christian ethos. Students will also benefit from an extended school day, excellent pastoral care and a wide range of enrichment opportunities.
We need to demonstrate support from the local community to make this happen.
Please complete our online form to show your support – it will take less than a minute!
